The UNESCO World Heritage Site exploration - day one ITINERARY
Meeting at the Tobu/JR Nikko and visit Shinkyo Bridge, the Toshogu Shrine. We will meet you at the prearranged location and take you to Kanmangafuchi-Abyss, then to the accommodation for check-in.
We serve a western style dinner in the dining for guests with dinner reservations.
We also provide complementary Ogurayama onsen (natural hot spring) drop off and pick up after dinner for your relaxation.

Meet a guide at Tobu/JR Nikko stations. A van takes you to Shinkyo Bridge, gateway to the World Heritage Site. Maps and directions will be provided.
1:30 pm to 1:40 pm
Initially built in 1636, the Shinkyo Bridge is designated as the World Heritage in 1999 and Important National Cultural Architecture of Japan. It was rebuilt in 1904 after being lost by flooding, and recently renovated. The bridge belongs to Futarasan Shrine. Visitors can cross the sacred bridge for a fee (fee is not included). A slope across the road from the bridge is the entrance to Toshogu Shrine.
1:50 pm to 3:50 pm
Built in 1617 by Hidetada Tokugawa, Toshogu Shrine is dedicated to his father Ieyasu Togugawa. The shrine is designated as UNESCO World Heritage and accommodates architectural masterpiece (UNESCO, 2015).
Meet at the assigned location tfor transportation to the Kanmanga-Fuchi Abyss. The abyss is formed by an eruption of the mount Nantai in Nikko. A short trail runs along with the Abyss and the trail is known for a row of about 70 stone statues of Jizo, guardians for the deceased (Japan Guide, 2015).
5:00 pm - 9:30 pm
5:00 pm Depart the Abyss to an accommodation for check-in.
6:30 pm Enjoy western style dinner
8:30 pm Complementary drop off at Gokayama Onsen Natural Hot springs
9:30 pm Complementary pick up from Gokayama Onsen Natural Hot springs
Nikko National Park Guided Hiking - day two itinerary
The day begins with a stroll to and from Kirifuri Waterfalls by foot then by our van to a natural feet spa. The guide will walk you through Yunoko Lake, Yudaki Waterfalls, Senjogahara marshland, and Ryuzu Waterfalls with brief stopovers at the Chuzenji Lake and Kegon Waterfalls. Transportation is also provided from Nikko National Park area back to Nikko stations.

8:30 am Check out and Departure to Nikko National Park
8:45 AM YUMOTO ONSEN FOOT SPA
8:45 am – 9:00 am stop at Tobu/JR Nikko stations for pick up, followed by visiting Yumoto Onsen Feet Spa and guided hiking.

12:30 pm – 2:00 pm Lunch and Self Exploration of Kegon Waterfall and Lake Chuzenji
2:30 pm Head to Tobu/JR Nikko stations
